The Drake School of Education offers both graduate degrees and endorsements in special education (MSE).
Graduate degrees and additional endorsements in special education are excellent ways to expand your knowledge base and to advance your career. A master's degree (MSE) in special education can prepare educators to teach students with mild and moderate disabilities across a variety of school settings. We place a strong emphasis on research-based strategies and techniques specifically designed to assist students with learning and behavioral needs. Our faculty have extensive backgrounds and experience in special education classroom settings which complements their research and university experiences.
Graduates of our program are highly sought after by school principals for their experience and knowledge. Several of our program graduates have moved forward to leadership roles at the district level, as consultants for the Area Education Agencies, and onto teaching roles at the college and university level. Our faculty advisors can help devise a specific degree plan to fit your individual career path.
